Finspreads was established by sports spread betting experts Sporting Index back in 1999, and introduced online dealing in 2001. It was purchased by IFX Markets in 2006, which itself was subsequently bought by City Index. Although it retains its own name and identity separate to City Index, they are both part of the same group, City Index Holdings Ltd.
The SpreadCo group of companies has offices in London and Singapore. It’s a relatively new provider of retail derivative trading products and offers a wide variety of spread betting, CFDs and FX products. It works with bank and broking partners in Canada , Europe, the Middle East and Asia

City Index was established back in 1983 and was one of the first companies to offer spread betting in the UK, along with IG Index. It provides White Label partnerships to several leading financial institutions, who can provide spread betting services using the City Index platform but retaining their own brand.
